World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development (March 4th)

Today, March 4th, World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development is celebrated. The date has been part of UNESCO's international calendar since it was proclaimed in 2019 at its general conference and was based on the proposal made by the World Federation of Engineering Organizations.

The day is marked by presentations, lectures and events with the aim, according to UNESCO, of increasing awareness about the role of engineering in modern life, which is essential in mitigating impacts such as climate change, in addition to advance sustainable development.

Since 2022, the celebration has included events all over the world, with activities such as competition between students in the creation and development of sustainable engineering projects.

CT-TRIB, as a cutting-edge hub in the research and use of green tribology aimed at the energy transition, celebrates the day together with the community.
